I never read anything with the Living Tribunal in it, I don't think... or is that the "Watcher" type organization? 'Cuz, you know, that would totally work.

Yeah, I'm pretty married to Captain America a Justice for the very reasons you detail. I mean, dude knows morality and yet, if the card were reversed, it could easily call to mind how stubborn (and blind to the consequences) about his moral choices Cap can be.

I like Thor as the Chariot, honestly. He doesn't really represent "worldly" success, being all Asgardian and such, but he could certainly work. I may continue to ponder this one, however. I feel like there's someone out there I haven't remembered yet who would be even more perfect.

Deos Marvel have anyone who's gender is not one or the other? The World is sometimes shown as transgendered or hermaphedidic.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions! They're awesome.

The Living Tribunal is one of the Cosmic Forces characters, shows up to basically make judgments on things at the ultra-power level. (check the Wiki entry).

Thor -- at his best, not in some of the apparent later stuff I've heard and LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU -- was also about worldly success, just not necessarily in THIS world. And "success" is a fairly broad topic. Material wealth? If he WANTED it, he could have it. In any number of ways. Effect and influence on the world? Yeah, he had that, and could have had more if he wanted it.

I'm not sure on the nongendered one.

OH! OH! You know who might work for the World, if you can't use Phoenix or Eternity? The High Evolutionary.

Hey, I was just studying up for my on-line Tarot 101 class, and guess what? The Celtic rune, Thurisaz (the thorn) -- also known as THOR'S HAMMER -- is associated with none other than the Chariot.

Folks, I think we have a winner!
